Get ready, Smyrna! Our neighborhoods are teaming up once again for a morning of treasure hunting, community connection, and paper-purging convenience. The Community Yard Sale + Shred Event is happening Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Whether you’re selling, shopping, or shredding, this is the place to be!

Are You Participating in the Yard Sale?

Residents of Woodsong, Potts Crossing, Vineyards, and Ivy Pointe will be hosting sales right from their driveways.

If you live in one of these neighborhoods and want your home listed on the official yard sale map, check your neighborhood’s private Facebook group or HOA communications for sign-up details.

The public blog post will not include the sign-up link to ensure it stays available only for neighborhood residents.

A: No! Everyone is welcome to shop, eat, and shred.

Q: How much does the shredding cost?
A: Shredding is completely free from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A: This is paper-only shredding. Accepted items include loose paper documents such as bank statements, old tax returns, and bills.

Q: What items are NOT allowed for shredding?
A: Please do not bring:

  • Trash or garbage
  • Electronics
  • Plastic
  • Metal
  • Binder clips (paper clips are okay)
  • 3-ring binders

Q: Is there a limit to how much I can bring?
A: Yes. Each household may bring up to four boxes of paper documents. Boxes should be a manageable size for quick unloading.

Q: Is the shredding done on-site?
A: Yes — shredding is done on-site, so you can watch your documents be securely destroyed.

Q: Do I need to sign up to shop?
A: Nope — just come by! But if you’re selling, sign up so we can add you to the map.

Q: Can I bring items to sell at the pool location?
A: No, sales are at individual homes within the neighborhoods. The pool area is only for shredding.
